A warm welcome to Marie Wood - General Manager, Foxhunters Care Community

As our new care home progresses in Llanfoist, we are delighted to announce we have appointed an outstanding General Manager and would like to welcome Marie Wood to the team. We asked Marie to share with us her thoughts on joining Dormy Care and her plans ahead;

"I am delighted to be appointed as the new Care Home Manager at Foxhunters, Abergavenny.  I have worked in the care industry for many years and have extensive experience in health and social care as well as management. I am extremely passionate about people receiving a positive experience while living within a care setting and my aim is to encourage independence as well as delivering quality person centred care.

Exciting times are ahead as I am looking to recruit and lead a skilled and passionate team for when our doors open in November.  I strongly believe that in order to be a successful home  manager you need to develop good positive working relationships within the home as well as the local community.  

I am looking forward to meeting new people and welcoming them into the home, but more than anything, I am looking forward to seeing people smile and enjoy their lives in an environment that will provide the best care as well as comfort and security.  I am passionate about creating an outstanding service, becoming an integral part of the local community where each person that comes into Foxhunters will be supported to live an active and fulfilled life"
