Here at Dormy Care, we are passionate about engaging with the communities where our homes are to help make those areas become dementia friendly towns. We are committed to the Alzheimer's Society's campaigns to improve the lives of people with dementia.
One of the ways we can help locally is by offering free dementia friends sessions to as many local business, schools, colleges and community groups. The more people who sign up the greater chance we have to help people live well with dementia and overall create a better understanding.
We are also delighted to be working with our local Scout groups by working towards their 'Community Engagement' badges and helping their Millions Hands campaign. By understanding more about dementia even younger people can help make a difference.
